:)

Ok now that the Christmas post is over.. here is what's new.

Calie:

  • 11 months old.
  • Eats anything and everything.
  • When your eating, she is trying to climb your leg or crying to get some food.
  • Is starting to really play with toys, more then just holding them.
  • Her favorites are the push dog and the barnyard that she climbs in & out of.
  • 19 lbs as of Jan
  • Standing and walking with everything.
  • Laughs at Dallas for everything.
  • Adores her Grandma Dawn.  She starts laughing and moving her arms when she sees her.
  • Loves water, the bath, the tub, Dallas ice cube.
  • Still sleeps all night.
  • Loves to cuddle.
  • Loves to talk.
  • Has 6 teeth and 2 more on the way.
  • Is almost ONE!! I very much dislike this.  I have made her birthday invites already. :)

Dallas:
  • 3 Years Old going on 30.
  • Major attitude!
  • Loves any action hero.
  • Loves cartoons.
  • Still loves water,
  • Potty trained, we still have an occasional accident but usually anywhere but home.
  • Loves to play, I love to watch him play.
  • HUGE imagination.
  • Afraid of the yellow slide on the swing set.
  • Loves guns and watching Dad do anything with them.  Luckily he seems to really understand that the guns mom and dad use are different then his guns.  He will not touch them instead he will stand back, keep Calie back and tell us they are dangerous. Don't worry they are always locked up.
  • Loves chocolate milk.
  • Loves the idea of school.  He is enrolled in preschool that will start in September.
  • Loves swimming and will be in swimming lessons again this summer.
Russell and I have been enjoying the winter.  We love having the wood burning stove on, relaxing and watching movies together.  Russ did a lot of Duck hunting this year and did pretty good.  Dallas always asked to go and always asked for his ducks when Russ got back.  I don't want him to grow up, but I know he is going to LOVE hunting with his Dad.  We also applied for our concealed weapons.  We held a class here a week ago and are just waiting for the application to be finished.

Christmas

Wow, for some reason I thought I did a Christmas post, but when I finally logged in, I realized it's been since NOVEMBER!!! Yikes!!  Since I missed Christmas here is a simple catch up!

Christmas Eve:
Dinner at my parents followed by Christmas Vacation.

Christmas Day:
On Christmas Day we had to wake Dallas up!  He was asleep in our bed but kept telling us, "No Santa not come".  It finally took a phone/video call from Grandma Becky to get his cute bum out of bed.  Once he saw the tree, he was WIDE awake.  We had Grandma & Grandpa Rowley on skype so they could watch him open all of his gifts.  He was one spoiled boy!! At first he thought that only one present was his but after I handed him two more he understood.  Santa also left a big present in the backyard..  When we took him to the window to see the new swing set, his only reply was,  "Wow, I'm gunna take a nap in there". Calie didn't care for anything after her first toy.  She first opened a talking airplane and spent the rest of the morning pushing it around the house.  Russ got a smoker and a food chopped.  I got a handgun and some waders.  I think we all were a little spoiled. After we finished up at our house we headed to Grandma Dawns house, which the spoiling continued.  Dallas was very sweet at Grandma's house, he said thank you and gave them BIG hugs!  After Grandma Dawns we headed over to Grandma Greats for Christmas breakfast. I think the breakfast was Calie's favorite part.  The girl loves to eat.  After Grandmas we spent the rest of the day hanging out at home, letting the kids play.

Now that Christmas is long gone, I miss it.  I love the magic and the excitement for little kids.  Dallas will still mention what Santa brought and what Santa brought Calie.
